WashPo Reporter Suspended for Making Up Twitter Story

September 13, 2010 - Washington Post sports reporter Mike Wise was suspended by the paper for a month for making up a story and posting it to his Twitter account. He said he made up the story to show that "a made-up, un-sourced story would be picked up and printed by mainstream newspapers." They did.
